My motivation: As someone who broke into the AI/ML/DS space from an unconventional background, I know the pains and roadblocks of starting over in a field so vast, technical, and usually highly non-diverse. There is also so much toil in theory that can be broken into simpler concepts, and the practical landscape in industry is quite different from the theory emphasized in school. Bridging that gap is so important to me, as I would have missed out if not for wonderful mentors that kept me motivated and confident in my own abilities while navigating such a fast-changing space. ✨
