I'm a self-taught developer working in a startup company, I didn't have the opportunity to work with experienced developers. I wanted to find a good mentor online so to MentorCruise, I'm fortunate to be matched with Elliot. I've now spent more than two months with Elliot, He's great as a person and also has lots of knowledge in full-stack development, in which I lacked enough experience. I've been introduced to many industry-standard concepts and toolings for full-stack development. I'm also learning team management and the collaboration side of the development teams from Elliot, he has worked with many teams. Leading development at a small startup presented unique challenges, as I encountered areas outside my previous experience. Thankfully, Elliot's mentorship over the past two months has been invaluable. I'm planning to spend a couple more months with Elliot and with this learning rate, I will be able to lead the development team in much better ways. I am incredibly grateful for Elliot's mentorship. His support has significantly improved my understanding of full-stack development, and team management and equipped me with valuable tools and knowledge to progress my journey.

Elliot has a fantastic ability to break down concepts and help me to understand them. I improved dramatically in React/NextJS in just a couple months. He has a really wide range of knowledge and I often asked him stuff that fell outside the range of what I thought he should be expected to know and he virtually always had a good answer telling me just what I needed to know. He was really friendly and a great communicator, I enjoyed our sessions on both a personal and professional level. In the process of launching a full-stack app as a full-time solopreneur, I overestimated the amount of time I would be able to invest, but Elliot frequently reached out to check in and see if he could be of help between sessions.
