In this session, a mentor with startup, fundraising, and entrepreneurship experience will provide feedback and guidance on your pitch deck, helping you to refine and improve it.

The mentor may offer tips and best practices for creating a compelling and effective pitch deck, including advice on how to tailor the presentation to the intended audience and how to use visuals and storytelling techniques to engage and persuade the audience

By the end of the session, you should have a better understanding of how to create a compelling and effective pitch deck, as well as a plan for implementing the feedback and guidance provided by the mentor.

I’m a former CEO and senior executive with 20+ years’ experience building, reviewing, and presenting pitch decks to investors, boards, partners, and government bodies. I’ve raised capital, secured institutional shareholder approval, led Series A funding rounds, and presented to FTSE 100 leadership, venture investors, and public-sector funders including ESA and UKSA.
This session focuses on how your pitch actually lands with decision-makers. We’ll assess narrative, clarity, commercial logic, and credibility—what’s compelling, what’s confusing, and what will trigger hard questions.
My feedback is grounded in real outcomes: investor psychology, board expectations, and how time-pressured audiences interpret risk, traction, and leadership. I’m particularly well-suited to founders, executives, and product or commercial leaders preparing for fundraising, board reviews, or high-stakes partner pitches.
Expect direct, constructive input aimed at improving confidence, coherence, and persuasion and not just cosmetic slide tweaks (though I am partial to a PowerPoint).
