About this Session

Having a good portfolio on hand is key for any designer in the job market. Even if you're not looking for a new position right now, having an impressive portfolio that presenty your experience to future potential employers is always good to have.

In this session, a mentor with design and hiring experience will go over your portfolio and give you actionable points on how to improve it. You will be able to follow along and make these changes right away, hopefully leaving you with a top-notch portfolio at the end of the sessions.

I am currently a Sr. Director for UX Research and on my 5th year of leading teams. My journey to where I am now in my career was not easy. I am an immigrant and came to the United States for my graduate degree. I navigated changing immigration status, finding employment, finishing studies, and transitioning from academia to the industry. If you are a mentee looking for someone who would understand the difficulties of navigating these spaces that I mentioned above, I may be able to give some perspectives.
