Thanks for dropping in to my profile and evaluating the chances of enrolling with me for a mentorship program. I am a UX Design Lead at Amazon, India.
I am an active mentor on ADPlist and I have been a mentor at Designlab (~5 years, mentored 120+ students) | Springboard (~4 years, mentored 50+ students) helping students with learning UX/UI, career transitions and career coaching
Why to choose me as your mentor?
In past 12+ years of my experience with design, I have gained expertise in not only conducting User Research, User Testing, UX workshops and building complex solutions but also in redefining the design processes and helping development teams to inculcate design as an important tool in their development processes. The core understanding of design processes helped me in relating myself to the end user and the see the design problem in totality. Every design challenge is unique and so is the solution to that, in order to find the right solution, I always aim to find the fundamental problem.
I come from an architecture background and I have always been associated with designing for the users and empathising with their needs and functional requirements. After almost 9 years of studying architecture and UX design, I was able to find a synergy between the two and amalgamate both fields in my design rationale and design process in a better way.
My understanding of User Experience design is creating meaningful solutions which align with the end users’ needs. Most often it's not a bad design which fails to make its presence felt, rather it is a gap in mapping the users and their requirements. I have been fortunate in working with diverse domains and technology ranging between augmented reality, touch and gesture-based applications for automotive, retail, banking and commercial sectors, enterprise solutions and projects of different complexities.

5 out of 5 stars
Ajay was very intelligent and succinctly guided me in process of my initial portfolio interview. I clearly understood how to structure my case-study and got solid feedback on the final work. I passed the functional interview and moved into the next stage.
We will send you a quick email if Ajay has new open spots for mentorship, and only in that case!
