I’m Alex Rainey, Co-CEO and CTO of My AskAI, where we build AI customer support agents that plug into tools like Intercom, Zendesk, Shopify, Gorgias, and Freshdesk. Our AI agents currently handle over 220,000 support tickets a month (resolving over 75% of these).
I’ve gone from digital consulting at Accenture, to a VC-backed InsurTech startup, to building and selling micro-SaaS products, to bootstrapping My AskAI with a two-person team ($60k+ MRR).
I mentor founders, product managers, and builders working on AI products, SaaS, and automation. I can help with B2B product strategy, LLMs, AI agents, RAG/embeddings, evals, prompt techniques, analytics, onboarding, pricing, and bootstrapped growth.
Most AI advice stays too abstract. My focus is on what actually works in production: reducing hallucinations, improving retrieval and consistency, designing human-in-the-loop paths, integrating with real external systems/tools, keeping latency and cost under control, and measuring whether changes improve outcomes. I’m useful if you’re trying to get from idea to MVP, MVP to paying customers, or AI demo to reliable product.
My style is direct, extremely actionable and practical: clarify the problem, identify the highest-leverage next step, avoid unnecessary complexity, and build around real user pain. I regularly get "hands on" with mentors' problems when needed as well.
