Anand Haridas

Hello, I’m Anand Haridas. I’m excited to share my professional journey with you—how I built a career in technology leadership, and what it took for me to join world-class organisations like Amazon, Google, and other top product companies.

My journey began with an Engineering degree in Computer Science. Early on, I was fascinated by how technology could solve real-world problems at scale. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across diverse domains—from startups to banking and finance with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America, to cutting-edge product teams at Amazon and Google . These experiences have shaped my approach to building robust, scalable systems and leading high-performing teams.

Getting into Amazon and Google was a dream I pursued with focus and discipline. Their interview processes are famously rigorous, especially for senior technology roles. I dedicated significant time to preparing for both system design and behavioural interviews. For system design, I practiced breaking down complex problems, architecting solutions for scalability and reliability, and clearly communicating my thought process. I had significant experience with real-world architectures in distributed systems but also ensured I participated in mock interviews and gained sufficient appreciation of other product organisation and their architectures, and kept refining my approach.

Behavioral interviews were equally important. I reflected deeply on my leadership journey—how I’ve built and led diverse teams, driven innovation, and navigated challenges (and faced failures!). I used the STAR method to structure my stories, ensuring I could convey impact and learnings succinctly. Seeking feedback from peers and mentors was invaluable in sharpening my responses.
