I'm an engineer by training and wrote code on the front lines for 11 years across many different industries. I've found myself in leadership roles (both IC and management) for 12 years and counting, have managed direct reports for all but 4 of those, and transitioned to managing managers (Director role) 4.5 years ago (and counting). My management style is very much that of "servant leadership", focused on creating the conditions for my teams to be successful, driving alignment, and offering help where needed.

While improving my skills to make the transition from data analyst to data engineer I realized I needed more guided help to define and achieve my goals. When I reached out to Chris he replied quickly and we had an introductory meeting. After a subsequent meeting Chris was able to take the broad descriptions and terms I was using about my goals and perfectly understand what I was trying to say. This was no easy task and showed me Chris has an exceptional ability to listen, synthesize, and communicate information. I have found these abilities are exceptionally rare in our field. After our initial meetings Chris has started working with me on a plan that will help me reach my goals and potential.
