Filipe Barroso

As a Senior Software Developer, with extensive experience in Android and Flutter app development. I have a strong focus on creating long-term code structures and architectures that can be expanded upon to address different client needs.

I can help with not only with learning Flutter but also planning your next project, or if ever wondered how can you become more productive, I can also help with a learning plan, for example, for learning VIM and how to organize better your notes through OrgMode.

Currently Working at Teya, to help the company transition to Flutter. I was hired with this purpose and I will be focused on helping the transition with my Flutter knowledge.

I’ve worked for companies like Carv, where I lead a team in developing apps that leverages Firebase, third-party bot team, and AI models to create highlights, summaries, and sharing for meetings. At Pvotal, I played a key role in the start of the Venture Building company structure by preparing templates, repositories, and Flutter components to address any challenge.

I also worked at Acceptto as part of the R&D AI team, where we created new solutions for authentication, and at Wingman as a senior Android developer I was responsible for various projects for portuguese companies: TAP, Football Portuguese League, Via Verde, Bayer, Solververde. Furthermore, I have experience working as a contractor and as a volunteer for social good causes such as, VOSTPT: Portuguese Digital Volunteers in Emergency Situations, and Data Science for Social Good Portugal. I’m also involved in organizing events and conferences related to Flutter and tech communities in Portugal through Flutter Portugal and Google Developers Group. Organizing meetups to Conferences where I organized conferences up to 500 participants and consulted DroidCon Lisbon and the portuguese open source conference "Festa do Software Livre". I have extended experience in Public speaking and have given talks in conferences at Google offices, Devfest, DroidCon, OpenSource Lisbon, Big Android BBQ, Flutter Global Summit, and more recent going to present a talk at the first edition of FlutterCon.

I have extended experience with teaching, where I have a portuguese certificate of pedagogical skills (Credential ID F700087/2020) and currently giving Flutter courses to companies, such as, Bee-Eng, Adentis, Agap2, and KCSIT.
