Hi, I’m Garrett.
I’m a former HR Director and senior HR leader with 14+ years of experience helping people navigate the human side of leadership. I’ve partnered with leaders and teams across North America, Europe, and Asia, including roles at Meta and Raytheon Technologies (RTX) / Collins Aerospace. Most recently, I supported a global operations organization of approximately 2,500 employees.
Over the years, I’ve learned that becoming a good manager rarely comes down to knowing the right leadership theory. The hard part is figuring out what to do when you’re facing a real situation involving real people—especially when you’re managing for the first time.
That’s where I can help.
I particularly enjoy working with people preparing for their first leadership role, newly promoted managers, and experienced individual contributors making the transition from being great at the work to being responsible for the people doing it.
Maybe you need to give difficult feedback for the first time. Someone on your team isn’t performing and you’re not sure how to address it. You’re now managing people who used to be your peers. You’re struggling to delegate without feeling like you’re losing control. Or you simply walked out of a conversation thinking, “I could have handled that better.”
Bring those situations to me.
My mentoring style is practical, candid, and supportive. We’ll talk through what’s happening, consider different perspectives, and figure out an approach that works for you. I’ll challenge your thinking when it’s helpful, but my goal isn’t to tell you the “right” way to lead. It’s to help you develop the judgment and confidence to handle these situations yourself.
We can work on difficult conversations, giving and receiving feedback, managing performance, delegating, managing former peers, building trust and psychological safety, setting expectations, and navigating your first 90 days as a manager.
You don’t need a perfectly defined coaching goal to get started. If there’s a leadership situation you’re unsure how to handle—or a conversation you know you need to have—book a session and bring it with you. We’ll start there.
You tell Garrett your goals. They see exactly what you want to work on before session one.
You meet within days. Garrett reviews your application and books your first session, usually within a day or two.
You leave with a plan. Concrete next steps and a weekly rhythm from your very first week.
