About

Hessie Jones is the Founder of ArCompany. Hessie is also also a Venture Partner in the Venture Capital space that invests in underestimated founders in both Canada and the US. Hessie's role is to build networks to find founders who need seed funding; establish alliances, and scale the advisor network.

Being on the precipice of the digital evolution of data over the last 20+ years, Hessie is a digital strategist who currently advocates for fair and responsible digital practices and AI readiness.

Hessie launched her career in data marketing and advertising. When e-commerce was starting to take off, Hessie worked with the Canadian big banks to transform credit card acquisition to an online channel to better target customers and mitigate fraud. Recognizing the inception of digital organic growth, Hessie launched Yahoo! Answers in Canada and played a role in the creation of online communities. Seeing the insight that came from these communities, Hessie entered into the startup world, founding ArCompany to help companies better understand real-time impacts of their brands and revamp their business strategies. Over the last ten years, Hessie has co-founded an encryption company and held various leadership roles among nascent startups supporting social platforms, digital profiling, customer journey AI, video analytics, blockchain and privacy technologies.

Hessie has written about the digital evolution and the players bringing about positive social change in Huffington Post, Forbes and Grit daily. Hessie is an active advocate for privacy matters in the digital space and is part of Women in AI Ethics. Hessie also helped launch MYData Canada, a non profit organization, to bring more data transparency and responsible data sharing to the industry.
