Hello, my name is Iris (she/her), and I'm excited to be your mentor!
As a software engineer with over 5 years of experience, I have honed my skills in various tech companies, ranging from AI startups to big tech companies like Meta. I am also no stranger to engineering interviews and internships, as I completed 6 internships throughout my bachelor's degree. Currently, I am a software engineer working on commerce infrastructure supporting products like FB Marketplace and IG Shopping. With a broad range of experience working on projects related to accessibility, AI, and ecommerce, I am passionate about helping you succeed in the tech industry.
I started at Meta as a junior engineer (L3) and worked smart and hard to get promoted to a senior engineer (L5) in 3 years and 3 months. My interests and specialties focus on helping you ask the right questions, establish the correct relationships, and make the right decisions in order to grow within your current role. Not only am I motivated to help you grow in your current role, I want to help you find a role that best fits your interests and skills, and help you grow in that role.
I am an advocate for increasing diversity and inclusion in the tech space, as well as fostering a sense of belonging for those who have traditionally been underrepresented. In my spare time, I mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and enjoy pottery and jazz music.
