About

I am a **Software Engineering Lead** with 12+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and generative AI products serving hundreds of millions of users at Amazon and AWS. My career spans from core infrastructure and cloud platforms to leading Rufus, Amazon’s GenAI-powered shopping assistant, where I helped scale customer experiences from 54M to 520M monthly active users through innovative agentic frameworks and asynchronous LLM orchestration systems.

I currently manage multiple Rufus Agentic AI teams in London, setting technical vision and architecture for AI agents, deep research workflows, and shopping guidance experiences, while partnering closely with science, UX, and product to take features from inception to production. Previously, I led the design and delivery of EC2’s ManagedFleet control plane, cutting AWS region deployment time from three months to two weeks and enabling expansion from 9 to 20 regions, and drove the re-architecture of AWS Billing from a monolith to event-driven microservices.

As a mentor, I focus on helping engineers grow into senior and staff-level leaders by sharpening their system design, technical strategy, and cross-organizational execution skills, especially in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and GenAI/LLM applications. I regularly mentor engineers on interview preparation for senior and staff roles, including system design, behavioural interviews, and narrative-building for promotions, and I coach new and first-time managers on people leadership, stakeholder management, and building healthy, high-performing teams. I particularly enjoy working with mentees on breaking down ambiguous problem spaces into executable roadmaps, improving engineering processes, and navigating career transitions into tech leadership roles.
