About
👋 I am Prateek. I am a Senior Engineer at Doist, working on the Todoist mobile apps, and a published author of several books on mobile design & software development.
In my tenure of over seven years, I have worked on several verticals, which include building native mobile apps for iOS and Android in Swift, Kotlin, as well as full-stack Gen AI apps on the web using custom fine-tuned models as well as off the shelf options like Open AI APIs. I also specialize in setting up CI & CD automation and sophisticated build & deployment pipelines for apps.
I have an eye for design and am always on the lookout for beautifully designed products. I love helping beginners navigate the ecosystem, find their standing, and hone their skills.
I've been mentoring for the past 6 years on OpenClassrooms & MentorCruise, and I'd love to help you on your journey. Be it learning a new skill, preparing for interviews, or pivoting careers. If my experience aligns with your requirements, I encourage you to reach out with an inquiry, and we can discuss how I can be of help in your journey!

Thanks Prateek, I spent hours searching for the right mentor and Prateek was my top pick, and honestly, he lived up to it. His technical knowledge is deep and genuinely current: he stays on top of the latest in tech and always seemed to know the best practices and trade-offs for whatever I was asking him about. He didn’t just give answers, he explained things in a very clear way. He’s kind and thoughtful, and he even kept checking in on me to see how I was doing, which meant a lot.

I reached out to Prateek on Jan 1 because it was one of my NY's resolutions to get more results in 2026! We connected right away and I began my journey! Reaching out and connecting with Prateek was significant to me because it helped me feel like I was on the right path and it brought me clarity to my work. Prateek is super responsive on messages- he's given me alot of tips, solid feedback and paved a study program for me to follow. He seems to understand exactly what I want to achieve and it's great to have that kind of support. Thank you, Prateek!! Our journey continues !

I reached out to Prateek to help me progress in my career. He is a very practical mentor with lots of experience and helpful advice. I highly recommended him. I have since achieved my goals and Prateek has played a practical part of that. Goal setting, exercises to complete, helpful resources and always being on-hand and available to chat about any of my questions and thoughts on software engineering topics was a big plus. I still have lots to learn and looking forward to connecting with him again sometime in the future.
