About

I graduated from Penn State University in 2007 with a B.S. in Software Engineering and a B.S. in Mathematics. Since then I have worked at large tech companies including Google, Microsoft and now Meta, medium companies like Door Dash and small companies in fintech. I have worked on various technologies such as graphics and rendering (in the Windows team at Microsoft), video games (on the bedrock engine team in Minecraft), application development in Xbox and static analysis at Meta. I have an MBA from the University of Washington and am currently working on my second masters as University of California Berkeley in Molecular Science and Software Engineering.

I have spent many years growing engineers from junior up to principal levels in my job as a manager and have mentored many people through their careers helping them navigate the bad times and take advantage of good times. The fact that I have worked on so many diverse areas of technologies means I can help you chart a path to develop your skillset no matter what your area of expertise is. I can also help navigate the political and social aspects of work or help prepare you the next steps in finding a new job.

I had a great introductory conversation with Robert. I appreciated his quite tone and his professional yet friendly attitude during our meeting. He listened carefully to my story and my questions, and provided insightful advices and thoughts. I initially thought that half an hour would have not been enough, but at the end I felt we talked a lot and I covered all the topics I prepared for the discussion. Also, Robert showed flexibility about time constraints of the session, and made me feel at ease all the time. Definitely recommended! I also recommend Robert's blog: his articles are well written and full of wisdom and experience, characteristics that I found during our talk as well.
