About
I am a Denver-based designer with seven years of experience working in start-ups, mid-size companies, and larger enterprises. I love using design as a language to communicate complex ideas and file them down into a simple user experience. After earning my BFA in Graphic Design, I split my career diving into product design and design systems at Zillow, Google, Facebook, Zendesk, Gladly, MasterClass and now at Turo.
I’m here to support with:

Shelby is an excellent mentor and my portfolio wouldn't be nearly as good as it is today without her help. She was great at providing feedback that helped me expand on what I'm good at as a UX Designer, and she helped me identify areas where I needed improvement. She also has a great personality and made working on my portfolio fun. Her guidance and support helped me become a much better UX Designer, and I'm happy I was able to work with such a great mentor! I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to improve their UX design skills and create a portfolio that stands out.

This review is long overdue but I can't recommend Shelby enough! I decided to do my own UX bootcamp and needed to work with a mentor to give me feedback on my work. I had weekly meetings with Shelby for a few months while I go through the bootcamp and every week Shelby provided very clear and useful guidance on my designs and we also practiced interviews and many other things. She is very knowledgable about UX design especially the design systems and accessibility and super helpful in job hunting tips and tricks as well. Overall great experience and I recommend anybody (especially women) to work with her!!
