Sometimes, a strategy is needed to accomplish a future career change, or simply to get further in your current position. Should you go back to school? Look for a new job? Learn a new set of skills by yourself? Become a freelancer?

One of our mentors could be the outside view you need. They understand the challenges that come with a career change, and are happy to help you come up with a solid strategy on how to reach your goals.

As a product leader with over 2 decades of experience, I know that there are number of potential career paths.

I myself have had many roles over the years. Starting off as an engineer at Intel, moving into marketing then sales and eventually becoming an entrepreneur and CEO.

Post CEO life, I landed in Product Management as the role most suited to leverage my ability to wear a number of hats yet focus on continuing to build impactful products.

What set me off on a somewhat unique journey, was having great mentors and career coaches early on who were GMs. They told me that if I eventually want to run a business (or business unit), beyond engineering, I need to understand the business side of things which led me to take roles in marketing and sales (customer facing) to learn.
