My session with Colleen was amazing in so many ways, but here’s what I loved most: 1) Her ability to bring focus and clarity to our conversation. There are many challenges in my role and I was floundering to express them clearly. Colleen was able to catch that and helped me clarify my goals before we went deeper into our discussions. 2) Her active listening skills. I’ve always felt that “What I’m hearing is … Does that resonate?” is an underrated formula for a productive mentoring session. Colleen asked clarifying questions to make sure that she had all the relevant information to provide the best possible answer for my unique situation. 3) Colleen not only shared her knowledge and wisdom during our session, but also went above and beyond and wrote down the key takeaways in a shared document, so I had something tangible to work from. I’m sure I’ll keep revisiting this document as I grow in my career! Highly recommend her services to anyone seeking advice in product management!
