About this Session
Having a good resume on hand when going on the job hunt is crucial, and will make your search a lot easier. Even if you're not looking for a new position right now, having an up-to-date CV that sells your experience to future potential employers is always good to have.
In this session, a mentor with hiring experience will go over your CV and give you actionable points on how to improve it. You will be able to follow along and make these changes right away, hopefully leaving you with a top-notch CV at the end of the sessions.
After many years of being on both sides of the interview table, I've gained enough experience to know what makes certain Resumes/CVs stand out. By the way, I've worked closely with a technical recruiter who's still a good friend of mine, so I've grown quite adept at evaluating candidates based on this document.
Usually, I conduct these sessions in two phases. First, you send me your resume/CV and the position(s) you are going for. It doesn't have to be specific job posts, but if you have something specific, it definitely helps. Then, I examine it and have a chat with you over Jitsi or Zoom to discuss it further. I also make comments on your document so that you don't have to note everything down, during our session.
You can use this meeting either for a particular job application or for generating some template, to use for various applications. Note that if you have a particular job post in mind, the results are going to be better.
