Interview preparation is about showing up with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of how to present your experience. This MentorCruise session is designed to help you prepare for upcoming interviews in a practical, personalized way, whether you are early in your career, making a transition, or aiming for a more competitive role.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to sharpen your story, improve your answers, and get ready for the questions that matter most. Together, you can practice mock interviews, refine how you talk about your background, prepare for technical or behavioral rounds, and identify the areas that need the most work. The goal is to help you walk into the interview feeling more prepared, more polished, and more confident in your ability to stand out.

I've done over 100+ coding interviews. At my current job, I do three technical interviews a week on average, and I've been heavily involved in the interview process at various companies in the last five years. I'm confident I can help you become better at coding interviews.

I've also done dozens of sample interviews with friends, students and colleagues to help them practice during their job search.

In this session, we'll spend about 40-45 minutes solving a question, and we'll use the last 15-20 minutes to discuss actionable feedback on the areas you can improve. We'll also go over what your strengths are and how you can use them to address any weaknesses. Finally, I'll share the notes I take during the interview with you so that you have an idea of what the process looks like from the other side of the table.

Interview Type I : Coding Interviews
We'll be using coderpad to solve a sample coding question and get to a working solution.

Interview Type II : System Design Interview
We'll be using google docs to go over how you would design a system. We'll focus on aspects like DB/API design, and scaling systems.
