This MentorCruise session is designed to help you improve how your work is presented, whether you are applying for jobs, pitching clients, or building credibility in your field. If your portfolio feels scattered, outdated, or not quite convincing enough, this session gives you practical feedback on how to strengthen it.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to review your portfolio through the eyes of a hiring manager, client, or industry peer. Together, you can assess the quality of your project selection, case studies, storytelling, structure, and presentation, and identify what is missing or not landing. The goal is to leave with clearer direction on how to make your portfolio more focused, more compelling, and more effective at creating opportunities.

Your mentor

As a product management executive and CEO of a small business, I have been actively involved in the hiring process for approximately 10 organizations. Per each position I have been the hiring manager for, I have reviewed 50-100 portfolios; this does not include the portfolios I have reviewed as part of a hiring board. Based on my experience, I can provide guidance on what companies typically look for in candidates within the product management, web development, user experience, and web design, and graphic design space.
