I've been a software engineer at Google for 5 years and worked at athenahealth for 5 years before that. All of my work has been on Web Applications where I have worked up and down the stack - from the presentation layer to the backend to the infrastructure. I'm passionate about automated testing and architecture. At work, when I'm not coding, I'm focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in tech, and am interested in mentoring people from underrepresented groups.
I also have a PhD in mathematics from University of California, Santa Barbara. My dissertation was in number theory, and I still love math but don't actively work on it. When not working, I play ultimate frisbee and spend time with my two kids, wife, and dog.
