But you CAN control how you respond when you invariably get things wrong, and I believe the difference between those that go far and those that plateau is whether they are willing to embrace the discomfort, and do the hard work of self-improvement.
If you are willing to put yourself out there, listen openly to the feedback you receive, and iterate on yourself as if you were the product, you can go so far.
