Hey! I'm Sam - i've been in the startup space for the last 15+ years, personally sold a few companies here in Canada, my family and I run a travel agency for the last 34+ years we're a top 50 travel agency in Canada, I was on Dragon's Den in 2018 pitching 1 of the 8 business' I have personally started myself. I raised for an app in the UK where I lived there for 6 years, alongside my 9 year journey at Deloitte.

My experiences, projects and speaking opportunities have taken me around the world. I have been fortunate enough to build my own innovation-led path at Deloitte for almost 9 years, my favorite initiatives include:
- Leading an engagement in Saudi Arabia throughout 2018, working with the Ministry of Finance to build a Fintech ecosystem for the country

- Speaking at Paris FinTech Forum in early 2019 focused on how a corporate should embed more startup DNA into their organization and how to work more effectively with a startup
- Supporting UBS bank in Zurich late 2019 as a coach to startups who pitched to them during a competition focused on tokenization
- Founding, building and scaling an internal incubator program 3 times from scratch (1st -> internal client services team at Deloitte UK, 2nd -> Deloitte Consulting Canada, 3rd -> Deloitte Canada nationally) where we incubated new emerging tech ideas that led to essentially new internal startups
- Becoming an operational leader on the Metaverse across Canada, guiding our firm, stakeholders and clients on this revolutionary trend (which included testing in VR headsets for 3 months)
- Traveling to 5 universities in Manchester, Birmingham, Scotland and London to educate students on the concept of entrepreneurship and how to assess and think about a new billion dollar idea

I'm currently CEO at ClimCanada.ca - we're helping climatetech startups around the world solve there hardest challenges in 90 days, and have successfully done so for over a year now. I also advise a number of startups in various industries from the built environment to AI.
