I specialise in helping early-stage startups develop and implement scalable SEO strategies—while avoiding the common pitfalls that can stall growth or become costly to fix later.
With over ten years' experience across SMBs, startups, enterprise, and my own e-commerce business, I bring a practical, strategic approach to organic growth. I’ve led SEO at two of Australia’s most successful startups (Canva and Uber Car Share)and I understand how to balance long-term growth with short-term priorities.
While SEO is my specialism, I take a broader view of marketing. I hold a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the IDM and have worked closely with cross-functional teams across paid media, product, data, PR, and brand. I know how SEO fits within the wider picture—and how to communicate its value to stakeholders at all levels.
Alongside deep expertise in technical, programmatic, and international SEO, I also bring:

Alright my dear mentee friends, please have a seat here. So yeah I am grateful to have found Sam as my tutor. He is very patient and understanding with beginners like me, even when I asked super basic SEO questions, I still use AI to search general questions as well (Personally, I get and can sense quickly irritated when tutors become impatient or harsh once they get to know a student better.) But so far Sam has been a cool tutor, so you don’t need to worry. And no, I did not know him before I booked his class. He responds quite fast in general also checks in with me from time to time to see if I have any concerns and how he can help me with the learning material. For me, this is what a good mentor looks like—someone who guides you where you want to go, gives you good advice, and supports you when you need it. As a mentee, you don’t just gain skills—you also learn from the example of a specialist leader in the field.
