About

I’m not a marketing expert.

I’m a B2B operator who understands marketing—and how startups actually work.

For 14 years I've led GTM at high-growth B2B SaaS companies. As SVP Marketing at UserZoom, I scaled ARR from $20M to $80M over three years, generating $18M in marketing pipeline each quarter, before we were acquired. Before that, I built the marketing function at WhatUsersDo from scratch, leading it through to acquisition. More recently as VP Marketing at Insight Partners-backed Sedna, I built a high-performing team that took marketing's share of new-business pipeline from 10% to 35% and doubled deal value.

My real job wasn’t ads or campaigns. It was helping CEOs and teams make better decisions when the stakes were high.

I work with people who don't have a senior operator in the business to sanity-check their thinking (usually the decisions involving people, money and direction).

- Founders: making the big go-to-market calls—positioning, channels, who to hire—with no one experienced to pressure-test them.
- Marketers: the lone or first-time in-house hire, pulled in ten directions and unsure what to ignore and how to progress beyond fire-fighting

Most people come to me when they've hit an inflection point, and realise the answer isn't another podcast or AI-generated playbook. They need to distil their options and move the hell forward with confidence.

I provide strategic perspective, operator judgement and decisive clarity. I'm not your boss, your therapist, or a consultant who'll drown you in slides. But I will tell you the truth and keep you focused on what matters.

If you’re looking for hands-on execution or tactical asset reviews, that’s not me.

If you want clearer thinking, better decisions, and momentum in the right direction, let’s talk.

Tom is fantastic. He forced me to face some realities about what I was avoiding, what my blockers were, to launching my product. Then gave me the tools to overcome those. I'm still a work in progress but already feel a huge weight lifted about getting things moving. Exactly what I needed and not at all what I was expecting. Instead of telling me to do a, b, c he enabled me to figure out why I wasn't seeing what a, b and c were for myself. Also how to properly instruct my employees for what exactly I wanted. This is more like executive coaching than giving a recipe for success, I'm MORE THAN SATISFIED with what he provides. Great work Tom, looking forward to our next talk.
