My journey...
I currently work at Starling Bank, which has been an exciting and fulfilling challenge, because I'm learning Java on the job alongside developing my frontend expertise. React, TypeScript, and JavaScript are the main languages I use day to day. Previously, I worked at an EdTech start-up for three years after graduating from a bootcamp in 2021. It's a huge honour to be living proof that taking an non-linear, non-traditional path into tech can change your life, and I love to share my experiences to inspire others!
As a career-switcher, I'm deeply committed to making the industry a more diverse and inclusive space. In my spare time, I concentrate my efforts on helping more people from underrepresented groups enter the tech world by paying my own experiences forward.
