I am an AI Deployment Engineer and Senior Data Scientist, and previously a Tech Lead at the University of Chicago Urban Labs. I am passionate about leveraging technology to solve human problems, and have many years of experience in managing hiring processes for data and tech professionals.
I believe strongly in interdisciplinary collaboration and learning, which is something I foster in my organizations and mentees. I personally have an interdisciplinary background - receiving my undergraduate training in Psychology and New Media, followed by Linguistics and Computer Science in graduate school. I have been at different times of my life an interaction designer, a mental health professional, and a data engineer.
I enjoy supporting individuals who are looking to break into tech, data science, and AI regardless of their background. I will bring the resources and best practices I've personally used during my career, and tailor them to your specific needs. In today’s rapidly advancing space of GenAI and Large Language Models, I can also guide you in creating your first GenAI build, and use models like GPT and Claude more effectively in your work and daily life.

Leoson is a hard working mentor and great listener with a broad skillset who accompanied me on a long journey to deepen my ai/llm skills and transition towards more ai-oriented roles.
