About this session
In today's competitive market, having a great product or service is not enough. Startups need to develop customized marketing strategies to reach their target audience effectively. As a marketing expert who has worked with startups in New York, Toronto, and Singapore, I understand the importance of developing cost-effective marketing strategies that deliver results.
With a proven track record of managing marketing budgets of USD 650k per month and leading a team of 12 experts, I have helped my previous startup achieve significant success. One of my earlier notable achievements in Toronto was increasing Bacardi Canada's online traction from 6k users per month to 400k users per week.
If you're a startup on a tight budget, there are many creative marketing strategies you can implement to reach your target audience. These include leveraging social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and email marketing, among others. I will work closely with you to understand your needs and develop the right plan of action.
Your mentor
I work with early-stage founders who want to become 'investor-ready, fundable, and clear on their go-to-market strategy' — not just “talk through ideas.”
For the past 6 years, I’ve mentored startups and entrepreneurs globally, and I currently serve as a Round 2 Judge for Alibaba Business Heroes (Jack Ma Foundation) for the 2022–2025 cohorts. This gives me a rare, behind-the-scenes view into how investors actually evaluate founders, teams, traction, and narratives — and why most startups don’t make the cut.
Startups and Entrepreneurs work with me when they need help with:
* Fundraising readiness & investor storytelling
* Pitch deck clarity (what to say, what to remove, what investors ignore)
* Go-to-market strategy for pre-seed and seed startups
* Positioning themselves as credible, fundable founders. co-founders
* Understanding how investors think across Asia, the Middle East, and global markets
* Help you setup in Asia if you are coming here for the first time or just want to expand
I’ve built and run startups myself, worked with teams across New York, Toronto, Dubai, Singapore, and India, and have been part of early digital initiatives for companies like IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Merrill Lynch, and Bacardi. This mix of "operator experience + investor exposure" allows me to give feedback that is direct, practical, and grounded in reality.
If you’re looking for generic startup advice, I’m probably not the right mentor.
If you want -- honest, investor-aligned feedback and clarity on what will actually move your startup forward -- we’ll work well together.
------- Who I’m not a fit for ---------
I’m not a fit if you’re looking for motivation, surface-level feedback, or generic startup conversations. I work with founders who want clarity, traction, and honest feedback aligned with how investors actually think.
