About this Session

This session involves you and your mentor working collaboratively to develop coding skills, troubleshoot coding issues, or complete coding projects. In this session, a career coach with expertise in coding and software development will pair with you to work on a coding exercise or project.

Throughout the session, you and your mentor will work together to write, review, and test code, providing feedback. The mentor may observe the session, offering feedback and guidance as needed to help you overcome coding challenges and improve your skills. The mentor will, however, not write code on your behalf.

Wheter you want to improve your skills or wheter you are preparing for a software engineer interview, pair programming is one of the best way you can improving your coding skills. The reason is that when you are coding with someone and you make a mistake or you get a feedback on how to improve something, your level of attention in that moment is much higher therefore the chances to remember that episode for long time are high.

As a senior software engineer with 11+ years of experience, I have written a lot of code in my life: Java, Python, C++, Javascript, PHP, C, Bash, Perl, ... I used them all because different companies have their own needs.

Like all the others, I also had to prepare for interviews. That's were I refined my coding skills and applied them also for particular scenarios like an interview: I solved more than 300 leetcode questions.

I am here to provide all my best advices and tips in order to help you improving your coding skills.

Marco was fantastic and professional. The problems he proposed to me were really in line with what I would expect to be asked in a real interview, we did 2 problems and he evaluated me correctly in the first phase of the session. In the second part Marco shared with me his notes each associated with the time to which they relate. He highlighted both the correct choices I made and all my mistakes and insights on which we discussed. Having shared his notes allowed me to reflect on my performance even after the session was over and i'll read them again in the future. I would strongly recommend anyone to do an Interview Preparation with Marco before facing an important interview and I will treasure his advice for the tests ahead.
