Welcome to my mentoring page! My name is Nikola and I am an experienced researcher/engineer in Machine Learning / LLMs based in Switzerland. I have a PhD in NLP from ETH Zurich (top 10 CS school) and over 9 years research and development experience in deep learning and AI.
I have mentored over 60 people in 1000+ sessions: professionals working at top companies (Google, Meta, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, American Express, Bloomberg, Rakuten, Eastdil Secured, etc.), startup founders, and researchers from top universities. Many of my mentees have made a career transition to AI, have landed jobs in big tech, or have started companies.
As a mentor, I specialise two areas:
- Help you to land your dream job in AI / Data Science / Machine Leaning. I will guide and support you to become an expert in the field. We will work on state-of-the-art projects that enhance your skills and AI portfolio, tweak your CV and job application strategy, and prepare for interviews. I will support you in every step of the way, from application, to salary negotiation.
- Provide state-of-the-art technical advice to people working on an AI project. I have helped founders and managers to tweak their AI product strategy, researchers to publish papers at top-tier conferences, as well as people who seek general advice and guidance, either related to their job, or to a hobby project. I can clarify technical concepts, and even help with code debugging in the video calls.
