I’m an Electrical Engineer with over 8 years of experience in data analytics and AI, including a significant tenure at IBM. I hold both a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Engineering, which have shaped my deep technical foundation.
Currently, I work at Microsoft Research as a Research Software Development Engineer, where I focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and copilots within the M365 ecosystem. My work involves evaluating AI models and building practical, high-impact solutions and contributions that have led to multiple patents and publications.
Beyond research, I’m passionate about mentorship. Over the past 6 years, I’ve mentored 300+ students through MentorCruise, Udacity and Data Science Dojo, helping them master Data Science and Machine Learning fundamentals and apply them to real-world problems. I’ve also consulted for companies like Shell, Fastshop, Symrise, and Petrobras on advanced AI and ML projects.

Sara is a great mentor. If you want to understand the whole LLM and AI engineering space you're in good hands. She really knows her way around the whole prompt engineering, RAG, evaluations and agents pipeline. It's a great feeling that I (as a PM) can explain all the parts of a RAG system to engineers and how to evaluate them.
