I sought mentorship at a time when I was navigating a difficult job market, visa constraints and trying to position my profile correctly for engineering and fintech roles in the UK. I was looking for honest feedback, structure and guidance from someone who had already gone through similar transitions. Davide was supportive and responsive, especially in the early stages. Our collaboration mainly focused on refining my CV, clarifying my positioning and discussing realistic strategies given sponsorship constraints. He was transparent, pragmatic and didn’t sugarcoat the challenges, which I appreciated. The communication was clear, and he was flexible when I needed to pause the mentorship. My mentor has been super helpful in my journey so far. He really took the time to understand me, my skills, and the areas where I’m lacking. Because of him, I’ve been able to clearly see the gaps in my career and know what I need to work on. He’s been giving me solid advice and direction, and he also keeps me accountable, which has pushed me to stay focused on my goals. What I like most is that he’s very friendly and understanding. He doesn’t make me feel bad about my limits but instead helps me work through them. It honestly feels like he’s interested in my progress and wants me to succeed, especially in landing a job. So far, the experience has been great and really encouraging.
