About

Hi there! I am multilingual Chief Consultant/Engineer in the areas of Data Science, ML-Data and Software Engineering with over 14 years of experience in data science, data analytics, software engineering, artificial intelligence and data mining. I have mentored dozens of people from fresh beginners to experienced professionals, to C-level executives. I hold a Ph.D in systems engineering and computational game theory.

I have worked as a consultant in many industry sectors (e.g. Insurance, energy, telecom, banking, shipping, fishing, media and many others). I have also produced multiple scientific publications and presentations where I have dissemitated my work in several international conferences. At the moment, I am working at Atea AS (One of the largest tech services suppliers in Europe), where I lead and take part in many projects that aim to strengthen and solidify Atea value creation proposal to its clients, both in the public and private sectors.

I personally love to mentor students who are committed, passionate, driven and creative when it comes to solving problems. David has been a great mentor, guiding me through the start of my freelance career and helping me work with a tech stack that includes Matillion ETL and Snowflake. He has also been a big help with my startup, Hylia.io, which is building a simple, multi-platform dashboard app that works as a virtual lifecoach and mentor, using gamification to keep users motivated. We meet twice a week, and those sessions are always fun. David has a good sense of humour and knows how to make me feel comfortable. His IT knowledge is impressive, and he always points me in the right direction and keeps me motivated. I'm really excited about adding AI and LLM features to my app. David knows a lot about these topics, as well as data engineering, which will help us build the right features. Working with David has been great. He has a deep knowledge of machine learning which has been invaluable in both developing my machine learning knowledge from scratch and providing guidance on the project that I am currently working on. I studied management and economics but decided to change fields. For a long time, I tried to make the transition on my own, exploring different options. Eventually, I decided to work with a mentor and, luckily, I was matched with David. During our trial session, we reviewed what I had done so far, set clear goals, and laid out a plan for future progress. Working with David has been both easy and enjoyable. Of course there have been challenges along the way, but David is always supportive, flexible, and ready to offer help or suggest alternatives. Always listens and tries to understand, hears suggestions, finds a personal approach David is open, approachable, and undoubtedly a highly qualified professional!
